With what are the cottages equipped?
Cottages are fully furnished with a coffee pot, basic pots, pans, dishes, silverware, towels, linens, dish towels, dish detergent, bath bar soap, toilet tissue, garbage bags, paper towels, charcoal grill, cable TV, stove, refrigerator, and microwaves. Additional items may be available upon request such as crock pots.
Is the office open 24/7?
No, if the office is ever closed and something is needed, please do not hesitate to call us. Employees are in and out of the office from 8am-4pm during season.
What if I arrive after the office has closed for the evening?
We can always be reached at (270) 354-8168 after hours. If an after-hour check-in is required, then your cabin will be made ready for you with the keys inside. You can locate the resort map on our website or outside our office door to find your cabin when you arrive.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Check, & Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover). There is a 3% convenience fee on all credit/debit cards.
Are the cottages air-conditioned & Heated?
Yes, all cabins have air condition and heat.
What is the deposit return policy on lodging reservations?
Deposits will be refunded minus any bank and/or credit card fees if cancellation is more than 60 days before rental. Deposits will NOT be refunded if cancellation is within 60 days of rental. Any reservation without a deposit will be subject to cancellation without notice.
Do you offer senior citizen, military, or AARP discounts?
Unfortunately, we do not offer additional discounts. We strive to keep our rates as low as we possibly can for all our guests.
Do you allow pets?
Pet Policy: Pets allowed with management approval, pet fee for additional cleaning: $75.00 for the 1st pet and $25.00 for each additional pet. We ask that you are respectful of others and clean up after your pet. We also ask that when leaving a pet unattended in a cabin that you make arrangements to check in on them for their safety and to avoid damages to cabins. Pets must be leashed on resort property. Renter is responsible for any damages caused by pet. 2 pet max.
Do you have laundry facilities?
No, we do not but there are many coin operated laundry facilities within 15 minutes of the resort. Information can be found at the office on the info board.
Do you allow extra housekeeping at an additional charge?
Unfortunately, no. Cottages are cleaned before arrival and after departure. Fresh towels & supplies can be obtained at the office during business hours.
Where is the nearest hospital?
Marshall County Hospital is in Benton, which is about 15 miles away. There are two hospitals in Paducah, about a 30-40 minute drive. Murray-Calloway County Hospital, which is located in Murray, is about a 30 min drive.
How far away is a grocery store?
The local grocery stores are located in Draffenville, which is about 10 miles from the resort. There is a Super Wal-Mart in Benton, which is about 10 miles away. Kroger can be found in Murray and is about a 30 minute drive.
Is there a place to fish without having a boat?
Yes, you may fish almost anywhere around our shoreline or on our docks.
Do you rent boat slips?
Yes. We rent covered slips. More info can be found under SLIP RENTAL page.

How old do you have to be to rent a boat?
21 years old.
Can I keep boat rental at another dock?
Yes, if you rent from us for consecutive days. Boat must be in a covered boat slip. You will be responsible for any damage to boat.
If the weather is bad, do we get our deposit back on a boat rental?
No, but we will hold your deposit which can be used in the future if you ever rebook with us.
Do you furnish life jackets with boat rentals?
Yes, we furnish all legalities.
Do you sell fishing licenses?
Yes. If the office is closed, you can always visit KY Fish & Wildlife page on your smartphone to buy one.
At what age do you need a fishing license?
You need a fishing license if you are 16 or older. For other info on fishing rules and regulations, visit the website of KY Fish & Wildlife, where you may also purchase your license online.
Do you have tent camping?
No.
Are lawn chairs provided at the beach?
Yes, there are limited quantities and are first come, first serve.
Do you have a fish cleaning station?

Do you rent golf carts? How old must you be to drive?
Yes, we rent golf carts but you MUST be at least 16 years old to drive them (strictly enforced) and you must be staying on the resort. Golf carts are not allowed to leave our resort. Call or visit our office to reserve a cart.
Are there any airports nearby?
There are 2 small airports. Barkley Regional (270-744-0522) is about 45 minutes away and Kentucky Dam (270-362-4271) is about 25 minutes away. The closest major airport is in Nashville, Tennessee, which is about 2 hours away.
